Wrote the first guide book for Harewood House in 1819, including his own poetry; 2nd edition 1822. He and his wife Hannah are buried in Harewood Churchyard. Died in 1823. Place of rest is All Saint’s Church, Harewood. Grave No. 321. Wage: £25 per annum. Gifts: his son’s music lessons were paid for; gratuity of £5 pa paid 1815-23.
